We believe care should be given by people, families and communities because they want to contribute positively to the lives of the older generation. We treat each of our residents, and their families, as individuals, with their own rich histories and personal preferences. As a family run business, we can prioritise care and contentment over numbers and spreadsheets.
All of our staff are highly trained in nursing and personal care. But that’s only one piece of the puzzle. We think that good food, good company and regular exercise are equally important for the wellbeing of our residents. We have staff that are trained in specialist exercises for the elderly and we never underestimate the positive impact that some simple fresh air can have.
Mealtimes are an opportunity to bring people together and food is at the heart of our home. At Kindred Care we know that eating well can make a huge difference to older people’s well-being. At Kindred Care, food isn’t just sustenance, we want it be a source of enjoyment for all of our residents.
The social lives of our residents shouldn’t be limited to the four walls of the home. Engagement with the wider community is at the forefront of our ethos, and we have fostered strong connections with local communities to ensure that we can all come together and support each other.
