Celebrating Success at Kindred Care

Recognising the People Who Make a Difference.

At Kindred Care, we’re proud to say that our team is what makes us truly special. Every day, our staff go above and beyond not because they have to, but because they genuinely care. We are incredibly proud to share some remarkable news that reflects just that.

Big Congratulations to Selina Chandran.

We’re thrilled to share that our Clinical Director, Selina Chandran, has won runners up for the Digital and Cyber Innovation Award at this year’s West Sussex Partners in Care Accolades.

Selina has been a driving force in using smart, practical technology to improve how we care for our residents and support our staff. Whether it’s making our systems more efficient, helping us stay ahead on safety, or creating a smoother experience for families, her work has made a real difference.

This award is a well-deserved recognition of Selina’s leadership and vision, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her on our team.

Selina has also been appointed as an Executive Director on the board of the Hampshire Care Association—a voluntary role that reflects both her dedication and Kindred’s ongoing commitment to quality and collaboration.

Meet Our Care Hero – Athul Paulose.

We’re also celebrating Athul Paulose, who was named Runner-Up in the Care Heroes – Care Team of the Year award, run in partnership with Ontex.

Athul was recognised for the extraordinary care he gave to a resident with a long and difficult history of trauma. His quiet patience and trauma-informed approach helped her slowly reconnect with life in ways that were once thought impossible.

Knowing she had a deep love for the outdoors, Athul planned a week of day trips to some of the UK’s most iconic landmarks including Windsor Castle, Bodiam Castle, London Bridge, and the Seven Sisters cliffs. These weren’t just outings they were powerful steps toward healing, taking photos so she could relive those moments of happiness she thought she’d lost.

Her words say it best:

“Thank you for taking me out. I am really happy today.”
“I noticed you’ve been working extra days, taking care of me for a whole week. Thank you so much.”

Athul’s care brought comfort, confidence, and genuine joy into her life. We’re so proud that his compassion has been recognised.

Selina and Athul’s awards remind us of what Kindred Care is all about: Real people, making a real difference. Whether it’s through innovation, everyday kindness, or simply being there when it matters most, our team works hard to create a place that feels like home for residents and their families.
